Do I need to know what system size I want?
No. Your bill, roof and goals are a better starting point than guessing a system size.
Can you add a battery to existing solar?
Often, but compatibility depends on the existing inverter, switchboard, available space and the outcome you want.
Will a battery power my whole home during an outage?
Not automatically. Backup behaviour depends on inverter output, battery capacity, phase arrangement, switchboard design and selected backup circuits.
What information should I provide?
A recent electricity bill, your address or suburb, and any plans for a battery, EV charger or future electrification.
